Tribute: Althea Adonis (1977-2024)

It is with a heavy heart and a profound sense of sadness that we inform you of the passing of Althea Adonis, HJI’s administration manager, on the evening of 22 December 2024.

Altea was a pillar of support for the organisation, for HJI’s partners and the sector and also for Fatima, HJI’s director. She was an excellent administrator, and a committed activist. She was also committed to health justice and disability rights.

We pray that she rests in peace, and wish her partner and son, and her family and friends, deep strength and blessed memories.

She will be deeply missed.

May she rest in peace. And in power.
